Mr. Jones is the current President of the Major General Joseph A. McNeil Chapter, Tuskegee Airmen Incorporation, Warner Robins GA (8 years); Tuskegee Airmen Eastern Region Board Representative (4 Years). He is also a member of Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Foundation (TASF) Board of Directors Member (3 years); Board of Directors, Museum Of Aviation Warner Robins Georgia (4 years); Executive Board Member, Georgia Dental Society (Non-scientific Advisor) (6 years); and President of the Middle Georgia Basketball Official Association (2 years).
He is an Air Force Civil Servant, Program Manager (Logistics) USAF C17 Program Office, Robins AFB Georgia. Formerly, he was Retired Program, Site Manager (Supply Chain) the Boeing Company Integrated Defense; Systems Huntington Beach, California (22 years). Retired USAF Senior Master Sergeant
As an Air Force Senior Master Sergeant, he was Supply Chain, Logistic Management for 23 years, honorably serving in the United States Air Force, from 1974 – 1998. He has over 46 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program Management, Logistic Management, Finance (budgeting), Transportation, Contracting (Statement of Work development) and Supervision.
While on active duty at Robins AFB, he was instrumental in coordinating the development and building of the Tuskegee Airmen Display, Warner Robins Museum of Aviation. He provided guided tours of the Tuskegee Airmen displays at the Museum of Aviation, which requires a strong background in the legacy of Tuskegee Airmen and their life journey. He also a charter member of the Major General Joseph A. McNeil Chapter Tuskegee Airmen Inc.
A Georgia native, he graduated from Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia with a Master’s of Science in Administration/Logistic Management degree. At Mercer University in Macon Georgia he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree Liberal Studies. Community College of the Air Force Maxwell Air Force Base Associated, degree. December, 2004.
He is also a college basketball referee assigned to five different conferences at the Division II, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Georgia Junior College. He is a member and usher of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church, Warner Robins Georgia. He is married to the former Ms. Debra M. Wilson (DMD) Pittsburg, PA. They have three children (Courtney, Derrick and Danielle) and one grandson (Jackson). Willie’s hobbies include refereeing, basketball, fishing, gardening and reading.
